Do not use if cylinder pressure is £ 80 psig to
avoid acetone contamination of process stream.
An inline flash arrester is recommended
for this product to prevent flash back in lines.
Caution: may form explosive compounds with
certain metals like copper, mercury or silver.
Acetylene is not an air gas, but a synthesis gas generally produced from the reaction of calcium carbide with water. A gaseous hydrocarbon, it is colorless, has a strong garlic odor, is unstable, highly combustible, and produces a very hot flame when combined with oxygen.
